I don’t always shoot rehearsal dinners but after the one George and I photographed for Ashley+Chris, I am officially a fan. What a wonderful way to be introduced to the family and friends of our couple and for their guests to get acclimated to having our cameras in their faces. It made the next day so easy to capture those candid, fly-on-the-wall moments.
Ashley+Chris invited their loved ones to Volterra, a beautiful restaurant space in Ballard, for a delicious family-style Italian dinner. Then a shuttle took everyone downtown to Kell’s for drinks and laughs.

Love the sketch. What a unique way to introduce the post. I haven’t seen anyone do something similar. Which makes sense… because YOU ARE UNIQUE! You captured some great expressions. And I love the concept – that everyone is more used to you for the wedding day – you establish a comfort level. Nice work Carly.
