Hannah&Madeleine // Chattanooga, TN

So they’re finally here—pictures of Hannah and Madeleine. I met their mom, Ayana, through our mutual friend, Alison, who used to be the kids au pair before she moved to Chicago for seminary—how’s that for plot summary?!

I have to say, after spending the afternoon with Ayana and her girls, I really want to be a mom like Ayana. Halfway through our photoshoot, Ayana took Madeleine by the hand and they strolled up to this old man sitting on a bench wearing every piece of clothing he owned. I was holding Hannah’s hand and she looked at me and said, “That’s mommy’s friend, Clarence.” Ayana asked Clarence if we could get him something to eat, which he politely refused and we continued on our way. But wow! What an impact Ayana had on me and I can only imagine how amazing her girls will turn out! I hope I can have the same influence on my kids someday. I really think being a photographer is going to introduce me to some of the most beautiful souls on earth.

So here you go, Ayana! You’re long awaited pictures! I hope you love them as much as I do! Anytime you want me to take pictures of your girls, just give me a call, or as in this case, “facebook” me!

Uhm… Who wouldn’t love ice cream from a place called Clumpy’s? I mean, the name says it all!

Ayana, Hannah, and Madeleine—you guys were so much fun and I really hope we can do this again sometime! Your photoshoot was, by far, the highlight of my week and I could have gone all day if you’d let me!
