This past weekend, my sister asked if George and I would house-sit for her family while they were away. They live super close to the city and I was stoked for the chance to spend a good amount of time there, checking out some of the surrounding textures and scouting locations.
On Sunday, my freshly marr’d best friend Stephanie joined us! First we ate at Georgia’s Greek Deli, which Guy Fieri has taped an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! George loves to cook, so of course, he totally geeked out when he found out Guy had been there! Typical fanboy… 😛
But the food WAS delicious! I had the traditional gyro and it was OMNOMNOM.
After lunch, we made a fast trip to Pike Place Market. I’m glad we went on a Sunday—the crowds were no where near as big as they usually are!
Then we found ourselves at Discovery Park, where I’ve never been. I’m pretty sure it’s a photographer “hot spot” but I can totally see why! The varying scenes of nature there are pretty astounding! One minute you’re in the middle of a field, the next minute, you’re surrounded by fairy tale forest! And it’s HUGE! I don’t think I could EVER run out of places to take pictures there!
Anyway… Here are some photos from our adventure that day. 🙂
Hope everyone’s having a wonderful week! We’ve been plenty busy around here and it’s only going to get busier! We have a wedding in South Carolina this Saturday, then a very special wedding (my little brother’s!) the following Saturday here in Seattle! We also have 2010 Senior Rep photos coming fast and I’m pumped about the Senior Reps who have been cast so far! There’s still time to apply, so if you’re interested, check out the Senior Rep post. On top of everything else, I’ve got some projects in the works that I can’t quite share with you yet! So as you can probably tell, my plate is full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We’ll be gone through the end of this week, so please be patient with emails! We’ll return to regularly scheduled programming this coming Monday. 🙂
