Motivation Monday, Issue 7

For being the shortest month of the year, it has been jam packed with action. I hope everyone is having as much fun as we are this February! And even though “they” are saying it’s going to get super cold and snow in the next couple days, I’m okay with it. Spring is just around the corner and I’m excited to see all the joggers breaking out their T-shirts and watching the blooming cherry blossom trees. Engagement sessions are going to peak in the next couple of months and I couldn’t be more happy about that.

On to the goals!

So my sister, Cassie, and I decided last minute to join a Growth Group at church that is training for a half marathon this June. Holy cow, am I ready for this?! I’m not really sure, but I’m going for it. And I’m really looking forward to the next few weeks of running and spending time with my sister. It’s definitely a great way to spend time with family while also getting in daily exercise. So I am pleased to say that I accomplished the first goal (sorta). Again, this bronchial cold has been a slow-recovery, so I think I probably ran a total of 4 miles this week and I’m satisfied with that.

I managed to finish a roll of film with the Yashica (but I still need to get it developed, so hang tight) but I wasn’t able to finish the Holga roll. I will do that this week. I also wasn’t able to order prints because I sorta forgot about my Haiti Growth Group and decided to put all my efforts into selling prints and mounts to raise money for the trip instead. So if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, please consider purchasing a print from HERE. All the money spent on these prints is going toward funding my trip to Haiti as well as providing funds to the orphanage where I’ll be serving with the rest of my group. If you can’t spring for a print, that’s okay. A little bit goes a long way. You can send money (minimum of $5 donation) via PayPal to carly@carlybish.com. I’ve felt truly blessed by this experience as I’ve already raised enough to cover my down payment for the trip (a little more than $250) in less than a week and that just makes me want to cry. Having people support me in this is huge and I thank all of those who have already given. Thank you so, so much…

Here are my goals for this week:

So that’s what I have planned for this week! What are your goals this week?

And because every post is better with a picture, here’s a sneaky-sneak from yesterday’s wedding…
